Cisco Network Administrator

Our well-respected client has an exciting career opportunity to join their team as a Cisco Certified Network Administrator. In this position you will be responsible for designing, building, implementing, and supporting cisco network systems across a global enterprise.


Minimum Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience with Cisco technologies, LAN, routing and switching experience
  • Certifications in Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Internet Expert (CCIE) and/or, other related technical certifications
  • Expert knowledge of networking technologies, including Cisco routers, Cisco Nexus switches, Palo Alto Firewalls and content filters.
  • Expert knowledge of routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF & BGP


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Troubleshoot network performance issues, analyze network traffic, leverage network security tools and components to improve security posture for global enterprise
  • Effectively designs and deploys LANs, WANs, MANs and wireless networks; including servers, routers, hubs, switches, UPSs, and other hardware.
  • Responsible for set-up of access controls to protect company systems and network.
  • Install, test, and inspect data communications systems.
  • Monitors network performance and troubleshoots problem areas as needed.
  • Identify and remedy network performance bottlenecks. Perform network modeling, analysis and planning.
  • Perform preventative maintenance of data center equipment and devices
  • Utilize hands-on experience with QoS, utilize previous knowledge and experience on VoIP infrastructure
  • Creates and maintains documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
  • Effectively manages servers, including database, e-mail, print, and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software.
  • Develops, implements and maintains policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery.
  • Monitors and tests network performance.  Provides network performance statistics and reports.
  • Participates in managing all network security solutions. Performs server and security audits, and system backups and recovery.
  • Interacts and negotiates with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.
